Haselmeier Opens New Manufacturing Facility
Haselmeier GmbH announced the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Dnesice, Czech Republic January 1, 2010.
The 3000 square meter facility provides additional capacity to meet the steadily increasing demand for self-injection systems of the global pharmaceutical and biotech market.
This new facility will provide 400 square meter class D cleanroom for sub-assembly of its disposable Penlet and Axis-D pen platforms and increased capacity for the processing of metal outer bodies for re-usable pens. In addition, printing and secondary packaging will be integrated on a continuous basis.
Matthias Meissner, Managing Director Germany, commented: “Haselmeier is an important partner for the pharmaceutical industry for the design and manufacture of self injections devices. Our new facility will permit Haselmeier to meet the growing demand for self-injection devices and has been ISO-13485 certified this month. The first shipment of commercial product is expected at the end of Q1.”
